Trombone

Mike in person trombone lessons on Wednesdays from 2-8pm.

Mike Epstein is a trombone player and private teacher from Merrimack NH.  He Graduated from the Boston Conservatory with a degree in Trombone performance, studying under Lawrence Isaacson and has been a freelance artist in and around the Boston area for the last 30 years.  Most recently he has enjoyed playing with Symphony NH and other local orchestras and theater companies. Mike began his career touring with Broadway shows, and also spent a few years in South Florida which included time with the Miami City Ballet, Florida Grand Opera and several Pops orchestras.

Dan Buchner
Piano & Trumpet

Dan teaches in person and remote piano and trumpet lessons on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Originally from Norwalk, Connecticut, Daniel Buchner holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Western Connecticut State University and Master of Arts in Instrumental Conducting from The University of New Hampshire. As an educator, Dan has taught various groups ranging from Elementary to Collegiate in the orchestral, wind, and choral settings for the last seven years. He has traveled across all of New England to work with all levels of musicians. His groups performed high quality repertoire and were met with the highest praise throughout their respective institutions and districts. As a professional freelance trumpet player, Dan has performed in all areas of music ranging from classical to jazz to musical theater. Upon finishing his undergraduate, he has been an avid performer for over a decade. As a professional conductor, Dan is just beginning his career but in his short time he has worked with many groups such as the Dartmouth College Wind Ensemble, The University of New Hampshire Wind Symphony, The University of New Hampshire Symphonic Band, The University of New Hampshire Orchestra, the Windham Community Band, the Southern New Hampshire University Orchestra, and the Southern New Hampshire University Wind Symphony.

Kristin Olsen
French Horn

Kristin teaches in person and remote lessons on Mondays from 5:30-8pm.

Kristin Olsen is an avid educator who is passionate about teaching music. Formerly on the faculty of Brevard College (Brevard, NC) and the Brevard Music Center, she has also taught at Mastricola and Elm Street Middle Schools. She is currently the director of bands at Nashua HS North.

Ms. Olsen is also an active freelance musician in the New England area, and she is currently a member of Symphony New Hampshire. She has performed with the Portland Opera Company, the Granite State Opera Company, the Granite State Symphony, the Northwinds Quintet, the New Hampshire Symphony, the Brevard Music Festival Orchestra, and the Asheville, NC and Greenville, SC Symphonies.

Ms. Olsen received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education and Horn Performance from the University of North Carolina. She received her Master of Music degree in Horn Performance at the New England Conservatory of Music.
